Why Switch to Natural Deodorant?
It has been said that breast cancer is being linked back to aluminum, which is found in most commercialized antiperspirants and deodorants. The reason why most people enjoy the benefits of sweat-free underarms is likely due to this toxic ingredient alone. The aluminum rich formula forms plugs in the pores/follicles in your underarms which in turn stops the flow of perspiration from coming to the surface. With many lymph nodes being so close to both the underarms and breasts, it is no wonder researchers are linking the two.
Why Native Deodorant?
Because I have tried MANY. And quite honestly, I wanted to give up on Native after my first 2 attempts as well. Which brings me to a few tips I wanted to share with you, so you stay smelling sweet as a daisy.
TIP #1 ~ Don’t give up. Don’t give up. Don’t give up. There is a reason the company literally says you need to stick with it for 3 weeks. If you have been using mainstream deodorants, you likely have some serious clogged follicles and need to rid yourself of all the gunk.
You may feel a little more “damp” than you are used to, but hang in there sista, I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel!
TIP #2 ~ You may need to take the deodorant “TO GO” (or purchase a 2nd tube or travel size). During that initial 3 weeks, it is very helpful to reapply about halfway through your day. Get used to the fact that you should actually be sweating. That is our bodies natural ability to cool itself and detoxify. Once you get past the first few weeks you will be sweating a lot less. Your body will regulate itself.
TIP #3 ~ Many reviewers said that doing a clay underarm masque (one you may likely already have in your cabinet) helped to do the initial detoxing. Personally, Ain’t nobody got time for that….well I don’t anyways. 😜 I do take at least 2 hot baths every week, and that coupled with the magnesium flakes, did seem to help.
Lovely Aromas
My favorites are the Coastal Oak & Amber and Coconut & Vanilla. The Coastal Oak & Amber is actually in the “mens” section. It is more unisex though. It’s a very fresh, ocean-like fragrance. The Coconut & Vanilla reminds me of Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen, very on point with the name. They also have dozens of other choices as well as some really great sampler sets.
Be sure to use code NATIVE20 for 20% off your entire order.
