Sometimes saying “no” to others, is the sweetest way to say “yes” to yourself.
I’m kind of falling in love with this whole “getting older” thing. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of sh*t that comes with it that I don’t love, like gray hairs & dry skin …… but, for the most part it’s pretty grande. In the last few years I have been leaning into truly listening to myself & recognizing my personal needs and boundaries. This is not something that comes naturally for “people pleasers”, which I have been the majority of my life.
Like many women, I have had a tendency to say yes to everyone and everything, in an effort to making sure everyone is happy. A fews years ago I started saying yes to myself more, and no to others more comfortably. Coincidentally this came at a time where I really started living a life of self love from a place deep within my soul versus focusing on my physical life and exterior world. I quickly realized how important my mental health was and how protecting my emotional freedom allowed me to soar to new heights of enlightenment & fulfillment. I commit to daily practices that fuel my passion and purpose. As a total bonus, this ultimately allows me to be a better person for everyone else.
