All hail to Eco Tan Face Tan Water………. How did I ever live without you????
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m obsessed with my weekly Spray Tan 🙌 I literally feel so much happier & sexier when I have bronzed skin. It gives me life! With that being said, I never spray my face. I find it is too heavy, and ends up looking ruddy. Instead, I use a little gem called Face Tan Water by Eco Tan. It’s non comedogenic, looks natural and is a super clean product. I like to apply mine as I would a bronzer. In a “3” and “E” pattern to give my face a little more dimension. You can most certainly apply all over your face as well. I always use a brush.
TIP: In the winter, this is a great product to use if you don’t feel like doing a full body tan, but want a quick glow up to cover your face, neck & decollete.
Prep tips for Facial Sunless Tanning:
- Cleanse & Exfoliate your skin well (My favorite exfoliator is the Acai Pulp Facial Scrub from 100% Pure)
- Apply a moisturizer (Do not apply any serums, vitamin c or products with acids in them). If you have dry patches on your skin, apply a little more moisturizer to those areas – this will prevent as much of the tan from grabbing on there.
- Dispense a few drops of Eco Tan Face Tan Water into a glass bowl
- Using a synthetic brush, swirl the brush into the Face Tan Water, then apply it to the face. Start with only a little bit. You’ll be able to tell if it is enough by how wet it feels when you apply it. For your first time, I would recommend only using 1 layer. For future applications…..the more you use the darker it gets.
- Wash your brushes (I always use dish soap)
- Allow product to process on the skin for at least 5 hours.
- After cleansing your skin, use your normal skin care products, focusing on moisturizing your skin well. It might feel a teensy tiny bit tighter or dryer than usual.
- Re-apply the product depending on how much it fades. If you use products that exfoliate & turn over skin cells quickly, like retinoids & acids, you may need to reapply more often to get desired results.
This product is great when you want a “no makeup” makeup look. Perfect for vacations, pool side or anytime you want to wake up & look more glowy & bronzed without makeup.
For the Spray Tanning Professional or Babe who wants her own tanning unit at home:
I have been doing spray tans since 2001! So….. I am what you could call the O.G. of Sunless Tanning. I started a spray tanning business back in early 2000’s using a cake decorating/hobby airbrush machine after I quickly learned this beauty habit was life changing. Later, after, the dinosaur age, I upgraded to the fancy HVLP tanning unit similar to this one ~ can we say “Let Me Upgrade Ya!”….. I have LITERALLY tried every sunless tanning solution product in my machine from St. Tropez to Norvell and everything in between. If you are looking for solution to use with a gun, I highly recommend Eco Tan’s Rich Honey Professional Solution. It delivers their rich, classic golden bronze hue, doesn’t dry your skin out (First ingredient is Aloe!), and fades beautifully.
Eco Tan is an amazing woman owned company (with a quite beautiful story of conception, I might add) They do not use any chemicals in their products. Eco Tan products are all organic. They are free of artificial dyes and coloring as well. Most importantly you get a GORGEOUS bronze color that always looks natural and fades beautifully.
